It’s National Library Week!

Today is the kick off for National Library Week! This is our week to show local libraries our love and celebrate how libraries and their workers help to transform lives and strengthen our communities. Here are some special days this week:
Right to Read Day  – April 8
National Library Workers Day – April 9
National Library Outreach Day – April 10
Take Action for Libraries Day – April 11
How will you celebrate libraries this week? How often do you visit a library? What is your favorite thing about or program offered by your local library?

NaNoWriMo 2023

It is possible I am crazy. I’m not a NaNoWriMo person. I’ve tried a couple of times to spend November, one of the busiest months in my world, writing a 50,000 word novel. It never works. That’s why I started participating in Picture Book Idea Month, now known as STORYSTORM. Way easier to come up with 30 picture book ideas than write 50,000 words. Yet, I decided out of the blue on Sunday that 2023 would be a NaNoWriMo year. I created a book cover and pinterest board to inspire me. The idea is coming together. Maybe I’ll burn out in a week. Who knows? Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Here’s to NaNoWriMo and all the writers out there willing to plunge right in!

Back online…Well Kind Of

In case you didn’t notice, my website has been offline for a few months. HostGator and my domain provider finally helped me figure it out, but my website no longer looks as cute as it once did. Hopefully, I can find a way to get some of it back to normal as I play around with it.

Not a ton of writing going on lately, but I’ve been editing several great manuscripts, and am in the middle of formatting a book series for another author.

I am also eagerly anticipating the release of Clever Tom by 4RV Publishing.

Until next time, hope you have a blessed day!

Clever Tom Release Slated for Spring 2023

Announcing my fifth children’s book, Clever Tom, will be released by 4RV Publishing in Spring of 2023. Determined to avoid winding up as Thanksgiving dinner, Tom, the barnyard turkey, designs a new costume each day to dupe Farmer John into thinking he is one of the other animals. Little does he know, the joke is on him.

I will post more news as it becomes available.
